The Rhoades Insurance Agency in Van
Wert began when Paul W. (Dusty) Rhoades left the army after serving
in World War II. Dusty began as an understudy of Martin Feigert in
the Feigert Insurance Agency shortly after returning from the
European Theatre. In 1955, Dusty purchased the Feigert Agency and
started the original Rhoades Insurance Agency. After his death in
January of 1974, the Rhoades Agency ceased to exist as it was sold
to the HBW Insurance Agency.

In 1983, after working as a computer applications instructor with
Conrail, Jim Rhoades started what would eventually become a
significant independent insurance agency in Van Wert. Early on,
there was only one company. Today, the agency boasts a total of eight
companies of which to choose auto, home, business, farm, and life
insurance. Service, knowledge, and integrity set the Rhoades
Insurance Agency apart from the rest.

Being able to tailor coverage through various companies and
utilizing the independent agency system to its fullest extent make
the Rhoades Agency a great place to shop for all of your insurance
needs. Not being employed by any one company makes it easier to
serve the customer and not the company.
The agency is located at the corner
of Main (Lincoln Highway) and Washington (U.S. 127) Streets in the heart of downtown Van
Wert. Business hours are 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. weekdays with the
office observing a noon closure on Wednesdays. Evening appointments
can be scheduled by calling the office. |
